The College of Pharmacy at Al-Ameed University, under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Adiy Abdul Redha Hussein Al-Rikabi, organized a training workshop titled: "Understanding the Risks of Medications for Pregnant and Breastfeeding Mothers," presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Elaf Fadhil Hassan.
Dr. Al-Rikabi stated that the workshop aimed to raise the scientific and professional awareness of participants regarding drug safety during pregnancy and lactation, enabling them to identify the differences between safe medications and those that may pose risks to the mother, fetus, or breastfeeding infant.
He indicated that the workshop focused on enhancing the participants' abilities to make therapeutic decisions based on scientific evidence and modern medical guidelines, contributing to the improvement of the quality of healthcare provided to this sensitive group of patients.
